On Sunday April 16th the visitors of the Vrijburg church will be treated to a Mediteranian start of the summer.  The Amsterdam Symphonic Band (Het Symfonisch Harmonieorkest Amsterdam) in cooperation with internationally known Flamenco guitarist Jeff Heijne and dancer Romina Toroz will perform a concert in a Spanish atmosphere. Next to them some very talented young musicians  from the Muziekschool Amsterdam can also be heard: Hannah van der Eijk, Zery Botani, Elin van Marie and Vanessa Yan, on flute, guitar and violin are at the brink of break-through in their musical career and will perform on stage as well.  The orchestra’s repertoire consists of parts that have been influenced by regional Spanish dances. For three of them this will be the first time they’re performed in the Netherlands, and for two of them this will even be their global debut. These parts are composed and arranged “in-house” by our Spanish Band-member Gustavo Trujillo.

This is going to be a very special concert and not one you will want to miss.
